Major: Nursing

Abigail Merten chose Union because of its welcoming, family-like atmosphere that made her feel right at home. A passionate and creative soul, Abigail enjoys painting and creating art in her free time. She’s always dreamed of becoming a nurse and hopes to work as either a Critical Care Nurse or a Flight Nurse, using her skills to help people in critical moments and truly make a difference.

Her favorite subject in high school was science, and she’s been in the bowling world since she was just 3 years old. Her bowling icons are Rocio Restrepo and Daria Pajak, and she loves to snack on spicy Cheetos during road trips. Her go-to drink is Dr. Perrier, and she’ll never turn down a plate of pasta.

Abigail has four cats—Oakley, Shadow, Snowball, and Bug—and considers herself a supportive, helpful, and encouraging teammate. She hopes to be remembered for making a positive impact in the lives of others, both on and off the lanes. Her second-best sport is soccer.
