Lambert Headlines Union Women’s Bowling at MSC Memorials
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Union Commonwealth women's bowling team competed this weekend in the MSC Lynne Jordan Memorial on Saturday and the MSC Thomas N Burris Memorial on Sunday.
Both tournaments were part of the Mid-South Conference and featured four traditional games and eight Baker games, with approximately 70 individual bowlers from nine schools competing in the women's field.

The Bulldogs placed sixth overall with a combined score of 4,683 pins, posting a traditional total of 3,435 and a Baker total of 1,248.
Laila Lambert led the Bulldogs and earned all-tournament team honors with a third-place finish. She totaled 901 pins and averaged 225.3 over four games, highlighted by an impressive 258 in the fourth game, which tied for the second-highest individual game of the tournament.
Abigail Merten finished 24th with 737 total pins and an average of 184.3 across four games. Alyssa Mueller placed 35th after knocking down 680 pins and averaging 170 over four games. Marissa Prieto competed in three games, totaling 463 pins and averaging 154.3.

The Bulldogs finished ninth overall with a combined score of 4,465 pins, recording a traditional total of 3,298 and a Baker total of 1,167.
Lambert paced Union with 778 pins over four games, averaging 194.5 per game and finishing 11th overall. Her performance was highlighted by a 225 in the opening game.
Prieto placed 32nd with 656 total pins and a 164 average across four games. Mueller followed with 609 total pins and an average of 152.3 per game. Danica Tompkins posted a total of 497 pins over three games, averaging 165.7 for the tournament.

Union women's bowling will conclude its season at the Mid-South Conference Championships. The tournament will run from Thursday, Feb. 5, through Saturday, Feb. 7, and will be held at Southern Lanes in Bowling Green, Ky.
