Lambert Headlines Strong Finish at Hoosier Classic

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Union Commonwealth University concluded its women's bowling season at the 57th annual Columbia 300 Hoosier Classic, held at Western Bowl.

The massive event featured top-ranked programs in the women's division, with nearly 800 bowlers representing 64 schools. Union placed 30th overall after competing in five traditional team games and 15 Baker games, finishing with a team total of 4,454, a Baker total of 2,558 and an overall score of 7,012.

Individual averages were calculated over the five team games, with bowlers ranked based on those results.

Laila Lambert led the Bulldogs, showcasing another outstanding performance finishing in 12th place over a pool of over 400 bowlers. Lambert posted an individual score of 1,069 total pins, finishing with a 213.8 tournament average. 

Alyssa Mueller followed with an individual total of 985, averaging 197 for a 58th place finish.

Marissa Prieto earned a 174th place finish with a total of 808 pins, averaging 161.6 while Brylie Gold finished similarly in 175th place, totaling 806 pins and averaging 161.2.

Abigail Merten ranked 292 with a total score of 506 over three games, averaging 168.7 while Danica Tompkins rounded out the Bulldogs with a total of 280 over two games. 

After a successful season debut, the Bulldogs closed on a high note and will look ahead to the 2026–27 season.
