Lambert Takes Top Spot at Bee Bash

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The Union Commonwealth University women's bowling team turned in a strong performance at the Bee Bash over the weekend, highlighted by sophomore Laila Lambert claiming the top individual spot.

The Bulldogs placed third out of four teams on both days of competition, knocking down 4,614 pins on Saturday and 3,694 pins across 25 baker games on Sunday.

Lambert led the way for Union, earning All-Tournament Team honors after finishing first overall out of 34 bowlers with a 1,108-pin total and a 184.67 average through six games. She capped her performance with a tournament-high score of 225 in her final game.

Abigail Merten followed with 786 total pins over five games, averaging 157.2, while Alyssa Mueller competed in five games as well, tallying 726 pins for a 145.2 average.

Brylie Gold and Mollie Correll each competed in four games, with Gold totaling 555 pins and averaging 138.75, while Correll recorded 551 pins with a 137.75 average.

Union will return to action at the MSC Greater Nashville Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 25.
