Major: Nursing

For Marissa Prieto, Union feels like home thanks to the friendliness of the staff and the tight-knit small community on campus. Her passion for helping others drives her dream of becoming a travel nurse, where she can make a difference in the lives of people across the world.

Marissa’s favorite subject in high school was Chemistry, and her hobbies include fishing and playing basketball. Her bowling icon is Jason Belmonte, and when she's on the road, you'll catch her snacking on Funyuns and sipping Dr Pepper. Her favorite meal is Panbaso with rice and beans, and her go-to social media app is TikTok.

At home, she has one cat and one dog, and as a teammate, she describes herself as funny—but serious when it’s time to compete. Marissa wants to be remembered as a team player who always brought laughter to the group.

Her second-best sports are archery and basketball.
