Major: Biology

Ava Arnett appreciates the small community at Union Commonwealth University, finding it to be the kind of environment where she can grow, connect, and push herself both academically and athletically. Known as a hardworking teammate, she strives to bring out the best in everyone around her.

Outside of track and field, Ava spends her time doing CrossFit and enjoys the challenge it brings. Her dream is to work in a field where she can help people become the best version of themselves, a goal that reflects her genuine care for others.

Ava’s favorite subject in high school was English, and she looks up to sprinter Abby Steiner as her athletic role model. Her go-to meal is chicken alfredo, and on road trips she reaches for Sour Patch Kids with a Bloom energy drink in hand. She prefers Instagram as her favorite social platform.

A kind and loving person at heart, Ava hopes to be remembered for the way she treats others. She was also a multi-sport athlete who played basketball, volleyball, softball, and track in high school, earning over 1,000 career points in basketball.
