Union Women’s Track Concludes Centre Invite

DANVILLE, Ky. - The Union Commonwealth University women's track and field team competed in the Centre Invite at the Lisa H. Owens Fieldhouse over the weekend, featuring strong competitors from 18 schools.

Sprint Events

In the 60-meter preliminaries, Kaidence Key led Union with a 10th-place finish out of 29 competitors, posting a time of 8.24 seconds. Kaelyn Halmon also competed, finishing in the middle of the pack at 8.46.

In the 200-meter preliminaries, Union was paced by Latalyah Sloan, who finished 14th with a time of 28.64 seconds, while Halmon added a 16th-place mark at 29.02.

Kaylee Hall represented Union in the 600 meters, crossing the line in 2:09.09.

Distance

Andrea Smith led Union in the 800 meters with a time of 2:34.33. 

Jumps & Hurdles

D'Mya White highlighted the Bulldogs in the 60-meter hurdles, finishing 7th in the finals with a time of 10.29 seconds after posting 10.25 in the preliminaries. Dagmara Lubina (10.74), Ava Arnett (11.01) and Lydia Workman (11.20) also competed in the preliminaries.

In the high jump, Paula Sanchez Schultz represented Union, clearing 1.42 meters.

Relays

The 4x400 relay team of Workman, Hall, Bella Townsend and Smith placed fifth overall in 5:01.02.

Throws

Abigail Bradley led Union in both throwing events, posting 10.11m in shot put and 10.12m in weight throw.
