Major: Chemistry
Minor: Psychology
Xaymara Lazaney is a Chemistry major with a minor in Psychology. Her favorite thing about Union is how it has helped her grow more independent. Her dream is to work in a pharmacy and become a pharmacist.
Xaymara’s favorite subject in high school was Science. She enjoys spending her free time at the beach, sipping on coffee, and scrolling through Instagram. Her favorite road trip snack is bananas, and her favorite meal is chicken Alfredo. She has two dogs named Mia and Khaleesi.
On the court, Xaymara considers herself a responsible and committed teammate—always willing to collaborate and contribute to the team’s success. She wants to be remembered for her dedication and the hard work she put in both on and off the court. Her volleyball icons are Puerto Rican professional players Raymariely Santos and Wilmarie Rivera. In addition to volleyball, her second-best sport is track. A fun fact about her: she’s the quietest one on the team.
During her time at Union, Stephanie Smith and Coach Hicks have made the most positive impact on her, offering strong support during her first year.
