UCU falls in doubleheader at No. 4 Cumberlands

Williamsburg, Ky. – The Union Commonwealth University softball team played at No. 4 Cumberlands on Wednesday in a doubleheader. The Bulldogs fell short in each game.

 

Game One:

UCU fell 8-0 in five innings. The Bulldogs registered two hits off 16 at bats. Kaley Harris and Katie Fister registered the hits for Union. Defensively, Fister pitched 4.0 innings for Union.

 

Game Two:

Union fell 8-0 in five innings. Harris, Ryleigh Petrey, and Ryleigh McLeskey each tallied a hit for UCU in the matchup. Taylor Sain pitched 4.1 innings for Union.

 

The Bulldogs are now 5-17 this season, while Cumberlands is 21-6. Up next for Union is a road conference doubleheader at Brenau on Friday, March 28, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
