Barbourville, Ky. - The Union Commonwealth University men's soccer team secured a 2-1 victory over Columbia on Saturday.
Biel Vallverdu and Callum Edwards each scored for the Bulldogs. Edwards' goal, his ninth of the season, keeps him tied for first in the conference. Callum Longworth had the lone assist for Union.
Owen Lewis led the way defensively for the Bulldogs. He won 19 aerial duels in the match, as well as four tackles and interceptions.
Goalkeeper Daniel Harrison made one save. UCU took 32 shots, 13 on goal, while Columbia had 12 shots, two on goal.
