Barbourville, Ky. - The Union Commonwealth University men's soccer team picked up a 2-0 victory over Bluefield on Wednesday night.
Callum Edwards and Callum Longworth each scored their first goal of the season. Edwards scored in the first half, and Longworth in the second.
Isa Bramble and Biel Vallverdu each had one assist. Daniel Harrison had a season-high of three saves. UCU had 24 shots with 10 on goal, while Bluefield managed just three shots that were all on goal.
The Bulldogs advanced to 2-1-1 (1-0 AAC) on the season, while Bluefield fell to 1-3 (0-2 AAC). Up next for UCU is a road conference match against St. Andrews on Saturday, Sept. 14, at 2:00 p.m.
