No. 8 Union falls to No. 1 Grace in Second Round of NAIA National Championship

Winona Lake, Ind. – The Union College men's basketball team fell short on Saturday in the Second Round of the 2024 NAIA Men's Basketball National Championship. No. 8 Union was defeated by No. 1 Grace 106-61.

The Bulldogs had seven players score at least six points in the matchup. Deonte Douglas tallied a team-leading 13 points. Terrin Hamilton recorded nine points, five rebounds, three assists, three steals, and two blocks. Anton Mozga tallied eight points.

Markelle Turner, Markelo Sullivan, and Will Bailey each registered seven points. Sam Conley contributed six. Jay Falls and Jordan White also scored for Union.

The Bulldogs conclude the season with a 26-7 record, while Grace advances to 32-1. The game marked Union's first loss in over two months with the prior defeat occurring on Jan. 10.

In the 2023-24 campaign, the Bulldogs won the AAC regular season title and conference tournament. Union had three First-Team All-AAC selections; one Second-Team All-AAC selection; the AAC Defensive Player of the Year; three AAC All-Defensive Team selections; and the AAC Coach of the Year.
