Bio

Major: Human Performance

Demarco Hopkins is a Human Performance major who values Union for giving him the opportunity to play college football alongside former high school and hometown teammates. He appreciates being surrounded by great people and believes that who you choose to be around plays a big role in your growth on and off the field.

His favorite subject in high school was math, and his dream job is to play professional football—something he's been passionate about since he was young. In his free time, Demarco loves lifting weights and staying active.

His favorite drink lineup includes water, Vitamin Water, and sweet tea, while gummy bears are his go-to road trip snack. If he could pick one favorite meal, it would be chicken Alfredo. Though not big on social media, he enjoys using Instagram. At home, Demarco has both dogs and cats as pets.

As a teammate, Demarco describes himself as loving, caring, trusting, and highly motivated—a leader who leads by example. He wants to be remembered for his integrity, perseverance, and faith, and as someone who never gave up on the vision and always kept God first. His second-best sports are basketball and soccer.

A fun fact about Demarco is that he has a twin sister. He credits Coach Cunningham and Coach Kibb for having a meaningful impact on his experience at Union, both as an athlete and a person.
