Major: Nursing

Jaylan Burton is a Nursing major who says his favorite thing about Union is the variety of opportunities available to students. He appreciates that there’s always someone willing to help, and that no one ever has to feel alone on campus.

His favorite subject in high school was math, and his dream job is to work with people who can’t help themselves—driven by a deep desire to care for those most in need. In his free time, Jaylan enjoys video gaming as a way to relax and recharge.

His football icon is Marshawn Lynch, admired for his toughness and authenticity. Jaylan’s favorite drink is Gatorade, and his go-to road trip snack is Jalapeño Cheetos. His favorite meal? Tacos. He’s active on both Instagram and YouTube.

As a teammate, Jaylan describes himself as the guy who’s always trying to get his team right. He’s not afraid to ask questions or call out distractions—always focused on keeping his brothers locked in. He wants to be remembered for his hard work—not for fame, but so that his future kids can look up to him as someone who gave everything he had.

His second-best sport is baseball.
