Barbourville, Ky. – The Union Commonwealth University football team hosted Bluefield on Saturday afternoon on Homecoming for the Bulldogs. As part of UCU's 40 Years of Union Football celebration, the former Union football players in attendance were recognized after the opening quarter.
Union quarterback Kolton Chapman was 14-of-32 for 156 yards. Isaiah Johnson led Union in receptions with four. He also led UCU in receiving yards with 47.
Union's Byron Gee led all players with eight total tackles, while Antonio Hopkins tallied seven. Keke McMurry and Jason Burley each registered six tackles, while Kam Bradshaw, Jamarious McClellan, and John Law each accounted for five.
The Bulldogs are now 1-4 (0-1 AAC) this season, while Bluefield is 2-4 (1-0 AAC). Up next for UCU is a road conference game against St. Andrews on Saturday, Oct. 12, at 12:00 p.m.
