Katelyn Hurst is a Biology major with a Physics minor who dreams of becoming a veterinarian—a career inspired by her love for animals and desire to help them live healthy, happy lives.

Her favorite thing about Union is gamedays, where she gets to cheer on her team and enjoy the excitement of college athletics. Off the field, Katelyn enjoys spending time with family, watching football, and loving on her three dogs.

Her favorite subject in high school was English, and she looks up to Mary Sergi from the Alabama cheer team. Katelyn’s go-to meal is chicken alfredo, her favorite snack is goldfish, and she stays refreshed with Dr. Pepper. On social media, she’s active on Instagram and TikTok.

As a teammate, Katelyn considers herself helpful and supportive, always pushing herself and others to do better. She hopes to be remembered for her kindness and dedication. One fun fact? She absolutely loves the color blue. Coach Lisa Napier has played a big role in her growth at Union, leaving a lasting impact on her journey.
