Union Announces 2026 Volleyball Schedule

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – The Union Commonwealth University volleyball team has announced its 2026 schedule.

The Bulldogs open the season at home against Lindsey Wilson on Aug. 20 at 6:30 p.m. Union then hosts a round-robin tournament on Aug. 22, facing Georgetown at 11 a.m. and Kentucky Christian at 4 p.m.

On Aug. 28-29, the Bulldogs travel to Biggers Sports Center in Columbia, Ky. for the Lindsey Wilson Tournament. On Aug. 28, Union faces IU East at 1:30 p.m. and Lawrence Tech at 4 p.m. The Bulldogs close out the tournament on Aug. 29 against LSU Shreveport at 9 a.m. and UT Southern at 2 p.m.

Union opens September at home against Campbellsville on Sept. 10 at 6:30 p.m. before traveling to Milligan on Sept. 11 for a 6:30 p.m. match.

Following another road match Sept. 15 against Johnson at 6:30 p.m., the Bulldogs return home for a three-match homestand against Midway (Sept. 16), Pikeville (Sept. 18) and Bluefield (Sept. 19). The Midway and Pikeville matches are scheduled for 6:30 p.m., while the Bluefield match begins at 11 a.m.

To close out the month, UCU travels to Tennessee Wesleyan on Sept. 22 at 6:30 p.m. The Bulldogs then return home Sept. 25 to face Spartanburg Methodist at 6:30 p.m. On Sept. 26, Union hosts CIU at 11 a.m. before traveling to Dayton, Tenn. on Sept. 29 to take on Bryan at 6:30 p.m.

Union opens October on the road against Truett McConnell on Oct. 2 at 6:30 p.m. The Bulldogs continue the road trip Oct. 3 against Montreat at 1 p.m.

Beginning Oct. 6, UCU returns home for another three-match homestand against Johnson (Oct. 6), Columbia (Oct. 10) and Tennessee Wesleyan (Oct. 13). The Johnson and Tennessee Wesleyan matches are set for 6:30 p.m., while the Columbia match begins at 11 a.m.

On Oct. 16-17, the Bulldogs travel to Reinhardt and Brenau. The Reinhardt match on Oct. 16 is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., while the Brenau match on Oct. 17 begins at 11 a.m.

Union closes its home schedule with its final three-match homestand from Oct. 20-24. They will take on Bryan (Oct. 20), Milligan (Oct. 23) and Cumberlands (Oct. 24). The Bryan and Milligan matches are scheduled for 6:30 p.m., while the Cumberlands match begins at 2 p.m.

To close out the regular season, the Bulldogs head out for a two-match road trip on Halloween weekend. Union faces Pikeville on Oct. 30 at 6:30 p.m., before taking on Bluefield on Oct. 31 at 11 a.m.
