Union’s Sofia Petz breaks 3000m Steeplechase program record

Williamsburg, Ky. - Sofia Petz recently made program history at the Gordon Bocock Cumberlands Invitational, breaking the Union Commonwealth University record in the 3000-meter steeplechase.

Petz set the new mark with a time of 13:18.49, surpassing the previous record of 13:33.08 set by Cassy Kost at the 2010 AAC Championships.
