Major: Exercise Science

Myona Russell appreciates the small, family-like atmosphere at Union Commonwealth University, where the close-knit environment makes it easy to connect with others and feel at home. Known for her funny and goofy personality, she brings positivity and laughter to her team while supporting those around her.

Outside of cheer and track, Myona enjoys doing coloring books to relax and unwind. Her favorite meal is spaghetti, and she likes to snack on white chocolate Reese’s during road trips with a Sprite in hand. Myona’s favorite subject in high school was math, and she looks up to Sandi Morris as her sport icon.

She hopes to become an athletic trainer, inspired by her lifelong experience in sports and her desire to help athletes stay healthy and strong. Myona also enjoys gymnastics as her second-best sport and wants to be remembered for her kindness and willingness to help others.
