UCU women’s tennis does not receive at-large bid to national tournament

Barbourville, Ky. – The 24-team field for the 2025 UTR Sports NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship was announced on Tuesday. The field was made up of 14 automatic berths with ten programs receiving at-large bids.

The Union Commonwealth University women's tennis team fell short in the AAC semifinals, which led to an at-large bid being UCU's only path to the tournament. The Bulldogs did not receive an at-large bid.

In the final edition of this season's NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Rating, the Bulldogs were slotted at No. 20. Each of the teams that earned at-large bids were ranked ahead of UCU in the latest poll. No. 14 Dillard was the closest-ranked team to Union that received an at-large bid.
