Union Women’s Soccer Falls on the Road at Johnson

KNOXVILLE, TENN. - Union Commonwealth University's women's soccer team (0-7-0, 0-3-0 AAC) lost against Johnson (2-3-1, 1-2-0 AAC) 3-0 Wednesday evening in a conference matchup at Johnson.

GAME RECAP

FIRST HALF: UNION COMMONWEALTH 0, JOHNSON 1

The Royals struck first in the 27th minute on a goal by Lexi Hatch, assisted by Annabel Reiche. Union managed just one shot in the opening half, while goalkeeper Arianna Brenes tallied three saves.

SECOND HALF: UNION COMMONWEALTH 0, JOHNSON 3

Johnson extended its lead early in the second half as Amy Johnson netted an unassisted goal in the 55th minute. Aubrey Felice added insurance late, scoring unassisted in the 80th.

Union recorded nine shots, including six on goal. Lily Huckerby, Erin Sylvester, Olivia Bartlett, Iyana Campbell, Nomie Jerinic, Dionte Delpeche, Kimel Robertson, Lupita Jimenez and Charlotte Jensen each registered one attempt. Goalkeeper Brenes finished with four saves.
