UCU Women’s Soccer Falls on the Road at Lindsey Wilson

COLUMBIA, Ky. — The Union Commonwealth University women's soccer team (0-2-0) dropped its first road match of the season, falling 5-0 to Lindsey Wilson (1-1-0) on Tuesday at Ray Wells Field at Walter S. Reuling Stadium.

With the loss, Union moves to 2-14-2 all-time against Lindsey Wilson in a series that dates back to Oct. 6, 1993.

The Raiders struck first in the 20th minute on a goal from Ashiat Naluggwa, before Alexandra Giusti doubled the advantage in the 36th. Naluggwa added her second goal just minutes later, sending Lindsey Wilson into halftime with a 3-0 lead.

The Blue Raiders extended their advantage in the second half as Vitoria Loiola scored twice, once in the opening minutes and again in the 75th minute, sealing the 5-0 result.

Union registered three shots in the match, with Iyana Campbell recording two and Esha Gill adding one. Goalkeeper Arianna Brenes tallied five saves.
