Major: General Studies (Communications & Theatre Emphases)

Dakota McMunn is studying General Studies with emphases in Communications and Theatre, with dreams of one day pursuing a career in acting—a passion she’s had since childhood.

Her favorite thing about Union is the people, sharing that they truly make the campus feel like home. In her free time, she enjoys driving around listening to music, playing video games, or reading. In high school, she loved journalism, and she looks up to soccer icons Kalvin Phillips and Phil Foden.

Her go-to drink is Arizona Green Tea, favorite snack is Nerds Gummy Clusters, and her favorite meal is pasta. You’ll most likely find her scrolling through TikTok in her downtime. She has a dog named Benny and describes herself as a compassionate teammate who’s always there for others.

Dakota wants to be remembered for always being there for anyone who needed it. She says Jayme Kilburn has had a big impact on her Union experience by creating an open, honest, and fun learning environment. Many of her close friends have also graduated from Union, adding to the school’s personal significance. Her second-best sports? Pickleball or cycling!
