Dayton, Tenn. - The Union Commonwealth University women's soccer team defeated Bryan 2-0 on Wednesday.
Alberta Yirenkyi scored the Bulldogs' first goal in the first half, and Dionte Delpeche added her first of the season in the second. Yirenkyi now has seven goals this season, keeping her as the Bulldogs' top scorer.
UCU had nine shots, eight on goal, while the Lions had 11 shots, with nine on goal. Chiara Isanto made a season-high nine saves.
The Bulldogs advanced to 5-4-2 (4-4 AAC) on the season, while Bryan fell to 2-8-1 (2-6-1 AAC). Up next for Union is a home conference match against Pikeville on Saturday, Oct. 12, at 5:00 p.m.
