Incoming Union women’s soccer player earns award for academic excellence

Barbourville, Ky. – Recently, the Tennessee Community College Athletic Association (TCCAA) announced its 2023-24 L. Quentin Lane Awards for Academic Excellence and Achievement.

Incoming Union women's soccer player Jurni Montague was selected as an L. Quentin Lane Pinnacle award winner. According to the TCCAA's official release, the Pinnacle Award for student-athletes are given "to the student-athlete from each individual sport with the highest graduating GPA."

Montague was one of two women's soccer student-athletes to earn the honor. Montague achieved this accomplishment at Dyersburg State Community College.
