Union Women’s Bowling Concludes MSC Championships
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The Union Commonwealth University women's bowling team competed in the MSC Championships over the weekend at Southern Lanes Bowling.
The tournament featured top teams from Kentucky, Ohio, and Tennessee and used a Mega-Match format with a best-of-three-point series consisting of three sets, all contested on the same pair of lanes.
Union Commonwealth opened the tournament with a dominant first-round win over Brescia, sweeping the match 2–0 with scores of 865–634 in Set One and 772–564 in Set Two.
The Bulldogs then fell to Cumberland in the winner's bracket, dropping both sets 924–776 and 944–757.
Moving into the consolation bracket, Union rebounded with a 4–2 Baker-format victory over Lindsey Wilson (177–128, 174–162, 181–171, 210–172) before being eliminated by Tennessee Wesleyan in a 4–0 loss (244–193, 204–167, 212–144, 187–144).
