Union’s Laila Lambert named MSC Women’s Bowler of the Week

Barbourville, Ky. - Union Commonwealth University's Laila Lambert has been named the Mid-South Conference Women's Bowler of the Week.

In her collegiate debut at the Bulldog Bash, Lambert took first place with 792 pins. She averaged 198 over four games, including three games with a score of 201. 

Lambert's top-five finish at the Bulldog Bash also earned her a place on the All-Tournament Team.

"I'm blessed to have two bowlers make the All-Tournament Team. This is the first time they've been named Mid-South Bowlers of the Week," said head coach Tom Doyle. "Laila was fun to watch this weekend. It was great to see her put together really consistent games: 201, 201, 189, 201. She has an instinct for adjustments and made the right moves this weekend."

Up next for the Bulldogs is the Orange and Black Classic on Saturday, Oct. 19.
