The Bulldogs come up short against Truett McConnell

Cleveland, Ga. – The Union Commonwealth University women's basketball team played at Truett McConnell on Tuesday. The Bulldogs fell short 68-62.

UCU's McKenzi Himes led all scorers with 16 points, while her six rebounds tied for the most by any player in the matchup. Himes was 6-of-8 from the floor.

Madison Brady tallied 10 points, while Ja'Naia Moran scored eight and Emrey Glover recorded seven. Rachel Smith and Claire Belcher each tallied six points, while Gracie Jervis registered five. Lindsey Pirkle accounted for four points.

Jervis recorded six assists in the contest, which tied for the most by any player. She also tallied three blocks, which was the most by any player in the matchup and tied with McKenzi Himes for the most blocks in one game by a Bulldog this season.

Union is now 2-10 (1-6 AAC) this season, while Truett McConnell is 5-6 (4-2 AAC). Up next for UCU is a home game against No. 7 Cumberlands on Monday, Dec. 30, at 2:00 p.m.
