Union Competes at Panther Prowl

OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Union Commonwealth University cross country teams competed Friday at the Panther Prowl at Yellow Creek Park. 

Men's Results

The Bulldogs finished sixth overall with a total time of 1:48:30, averaging 21:42 per runner, and a team score of 142.

Jackson Crume led UCU, placing 20th overall with a time of 20:38.6 and an average mile of 5:32.2. Connor Partin followed close behind in 21st at 20:42.0 (5:33.1 per mile). Connor Messer posted a 38th-place finish at 21:50.1 (5:51.4), while Zabrey Bortz crossed in at 22:31.1 (6:02.4 per mile). Joshua Grubb recorded a time of 22:48.2 (6:07.0), with Torrean Thornton at 22:49.8 (6:07.4). 

Women's Results

The Bulldogs placed sixth overall with a total time of 2:02:43, averaging 24:32 per runner, and a team score of 138.

Andrea Smith led the way, finishing 23rd overall in 22:10.3 (7:08.1 per mile). Sofia Petz was next for Union in 28th at 22:28.2 (7:14.0 per mile). Jasmine Clouse came through in 35th with a time of 24:18.9 (7:49.8 per mile) while Kaylee Hall crossed in at 25:37.5 (8:14.9 per mile).

Union returns to action at the Mike and Mary Johnson Classic on Saturday, Sept. 13.
