Union Wraps Up 2026 Campaign at Final Chance Meets

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. — Select student-athletes from the Union Commonwealth University men's track and field team closed out the 2025-26 season over the weekend, competing at the Lee University Last Chance in Cleveland, Tenn., and the St. Francis Fighting Chance in Joliet, Ill.

Freshman Nicholas Blann represented Union in the men's long jump at the Lee University Last Chance, placing seventh overall with a mark of 6.64 meters in a field of 13 competitors.

Freshman William Sykes earned a third-place finish in the men's javelin throw at the St. Francis Fighting Chance. Sykes recorded a mark of 54.06 meters in the finals against a 17-athlete field.

With the outdoor season complete, the Bulldogs will now shift their focus toward preparations for the 2026-27 campaign.
