Nicholas Blann Named AAC Athlete of the Week

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – Union Commonwealth University's freshman Nicholas Blann has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) field athlete of the week. 

Blann earned AAC Field Athlete of the Week honors after a standout performance at the Cumberlands Early Spring Invite. The freshman captured first place in both the long jump and triple jump, leading the Bulldogs in the field events.

Blann recorded a mark of 6.86 meters to win the long jump before returning to the runway to claim another event title in the triple jump with a distance of 14.28 meters. The performance marked his first weekly conference award of the season.
