Major: General Studies

D’Mauri Owens values the people he has met at Union Commonwealth University, appreciating how the campus community helps him feel connected and supported. On the track and field team, he brings an experienced presence and aims to approach every situation with honesty and consistency.

Outside of his sport, D’Mauri enjoys making short films, a creative outlet that lets him explore new ideas. His dream is to be the center of a franchise, aiming to take on a meaningful role and lead with purpose. Math was his favorite subject in high school, and Noah Lyles is the athlete he looks up to most.

His favorite drink is Hi C, his go to road trip snack is Skittles, and he loves a meal of mac and cheese. He considers his ability to fit in with any group one of the more unique things about him.

Coach Jelks and Jay Falls have had the biggest positive impact on his time at Union. Outside of track and field, his best sport is water polo.
