Union’s Victor Bourguignon named AAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week

Barbourville, Ky. – Union Commonwealth University's Victor Bourguignon has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Tennis Player of the Week. Bourguignon went 3-0 on the week in both singles play and doubles competition.

In singles play, Bourguignon picked up a 6-4, 6-2 win against Milligan. He won 6-4, 7-5 against NCAA Division II opponent Belmont Abbey. Bourguignon won 6-4, 6-2 against Montreat.

He was slotted in the No. 3 position against Milligan, while being at No. 2 in the other matches.

In doubles competition, Bourguignon teamed with Luke Geduldt in each match. The duo was slotted at No. 2 in the lineup. The combination won 7-6, 7-4 against Milligan; won 6-2 over Belmont Abbey; and won 6-0 against Montreat.

No. 21 Union went 3-0 on the week. This season, the Bulldogs are 6-4.
