Union men’s swimming etches their name in history at NAIA Nationals
Elkhart, Ind. - The Union Commonwealth University men's swimming team delivered a strong performance at the NAIA Swimming and Diving Nationals, finishing 10th overall out of 23 teams with a total score of 163.
Leading the way for the Bulldogs was Enzo Constable, who earned the team's highest finishes. He claimed second place in the 100 fly with a season-best and personal-best time of 47.56.
Constable added another runner-up finish in the 100 free, setting a new personal best of 43.71. He also secured a seventh-place finish in the 50 free, clocking in at 20.31.
Able Eszenyi also shined with a personal-best performance in the 1650 free, finishing third in 15:41.08. He continued his strong showing with a sixth-place finish in the 400 IM, recording a season-best time of 3:59.21.
Eszenyi also placed seventh in the 500 free with a time of 4:35.20.
In relay events, the team of Malik Biad, Eszenyi, Gergely Török, and Constable competed in multiple relays. They recorded times of 1:36.16 in the 200 medley relay, 6:51.37 in the 800 free relay, 1:28.68 in the 200 free relay, 3:26.10 in the 400 medley relay, and 3:09.51 in the 400 free relay.
