Union men’s swimming defeats Transylvania

Lexington, Ky. - The Union Commonwealth University men's swimming team competed against Transylvania on Friday. The Bulldogs won 142-88. 

UCU had 11 first place finishes, four second, and six third.

David Muñiz Espin, Dmitrii Bulakh, Malik Biad, and Toby Edwards won the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:39.69.

In the 1000 freestyle, Abel Eszenyi and Gergely Török took the top two spots, with Eszenyi at 10:03.41 and Török at 10:09.00.

Cezary Leiman won the 200 freestyle in 1:51.91, and Enzo Constable took first in the 50 freestyle with a time of 20.92.

Malik Biad claimed first in the 200 IM in 2:00.20, with Jaedon Lynch in second at 2:05.83. Constable also won the 100 butterfly in 51.05.

Leiman won the 100 freestyle in 49.82. In the 100 backstroke, Biad and Lynch finished first and second with times of 56.06 and 57.03.

Eszenyi won the 500 freestyle in 5:06.96, followed closely by Török at 5:07.17.

Bulakh took first in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:00.24. Finally, the team of Constable, Eszenyi, Leiman, and Lynch won the 400 freestyle relay in 3:17.96.
