Union men’s swimming earns 13 top-three finishes at Cumberlands

Williamsburg, Ky. - The Union Commonwealth University men's swimming and diving team competed against the University of the Cumberlands on Friday. The final score of the matchup was Cumberlands 144, Union 70.

The Bulldogs secured three first-place finishes, along with four second-place and six third-place results.

In the 400 medley relay, the team of Zsombi Sipaki, Dmitrii Bulakh, Enzo Constable, and Cezary Leiman earned second place with a time of 3:29.49. Malik Biad and Gergely Török finished second and third in the 1000 free, clocking in at 9:55.04 and 10:15.01.

Leiman claimed third place in the 200 free with a time of 1:52.95, while Constable took first place in the 50 free, touching the wall at 20.83. 

In the 200 IM, Abel Eszenyi's time of 1:59.43 secured him second place. Constable added another victory when he won the 100 fly with a time of 49.59. 

Leiman earned third place in the 100 free with a time of 49.70, followed by Sipaki, who placed third in the 100 back, finishing in 54.46. 

Malik Biad and Eszenyi finished first and second in the 500 free.  Biad clocked in a provisional qualifying time at 4:49.55 and Eszenyi was close behind at 4:49.90. Dmitrii Bulakh claimed third place in the 100 Breast. He recorded a time of 59.62.
