Majors: English and History

Luca Aggeler is pursuing majors in English and history after choosing Union because of its close-knit atmosphere and familiar, welcoming environment. He appreciates the university's smaller campus, which allows students to build meaningful relationships with classmates and faculty. Aggeler hopes to become a high school teacher, combining his passion for history and language with his enjoyment of explaining concepts and helping students learn and grow.

Outside of soccer, Aggeler enjoys playing tennis, padel, and basketball to stay active. History was his favorite subject in high school, and his favorite soccer player is Christian Eriksen, whose vision and composure on the field he admires. Water is his drink of choice, while Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle) is his favorite meal. On road trips, he's most likely reaching for cookies, and TikTok is his preferred social media platform.

Aggeler describes himself as a calm, focused, and passionate teammate who leads through hard work and consistency. He hopes to be remembered for building positive relationships with everyone he meets. One interesting fact about him is that he is half Serbian, as his mother grew up in Serbia. If he weren't playing soccer, Aggeler says tennis would be his second-best sport.
