Major: Psychology

Gonzalo Vargas is a Psychology major whose passion for sports and helping others shapes both his academic and career goals. His favorite thing about Union is the genuine support and kindness he’s experienced from the community.

Outside of soccer, Gonzalo enjoys playing video games. His dream job is to start his own sports management company, driven by a desire to help other athletes achieve their dreams—a reflection of his deep love for sports and mentorship.

In high school, his favorite subjects were Social Studies and History. He looks up to Neymar as his soccer icon. On road trips, he snacks on chips, and his go-to drink is lemonade. His favorite meal is Lomo Saltado, and he’s most active on Instagram.

Gonzalo sees himself as a respectful and supportive teammate, always there to encourage others. He wants to be remembered as one of the players who won it all and made history in the league.

His second-best sport is volleyball, and his drive to succeed extends far beyond the pitch.
