Union’s Owen Lewis earns CSC Academic All-America Honors

Barbourville, Ky. - On Tuesday, College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced its Academic All-America men's soccer teams.

In the NAIA division, Union Commonwealth University defender Owen Lewis earned himself a spot on the CSC's 2024 Academic All-America second team.

To qualify for this honor, student-athletes must meet specific academic and athletic requirements. In order to be selected, a student-athlete needs to excel in those areas.

Earning this accomplishment is a challenging achievement as the CSC's Academic All-America list for NAIA schools featured 24 student-athletes, which included 11 on the first team and 13 on the second team.

Lewis received multiple honors earlier this season when the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) released its All-Conference Teams and Awards. Lewis received All-AAC First Team honors in addition to being named to the AAC's All-Academic Team.
