Barbourville, Ky. – The Union Commonwealth University men's soccer team hosted West Virginia Tech on Wednesday night. Union tied 1-1 with WVU Tech.
The first goal of the game was scored by West Virginia Tech in the 47th minute by Lorenz Van Den Berg off an assist by Ollie Corris. Union's goal in the 68th minute was scored off an error by WVU Tech.
Union totaled 10 shots, while West Virginia Tech recorded 14. UCU totaled three shots on goal, while WVU Tech had six. The Bulldogs had 13 corner kicks, while West Virginia Tech registered three.
Each team is now 0-1-1 on the season. Up next for UCU is a match against Midway on Wednesday, Sept. 4, at 7:00 p.m.
