Union men’s golf recap of the Northeast Tennessee Shootout

Johnson City, Tenn. - The Union Commonwealth University men's golf team recently competed in the Northeast Tennessee Shootout, hosted by Milligan University.

The Bulldogs finished 10th overall with a combined team score of 122, posting a 69 in the opening round and a 53 in the second round.

Leading the charge was Luke Townhill, who placed 35th individually. Townhill carded a 79 in round one and an 80 in round two, finishing 15-over par.

Kaleb Ellis followed closely behind, recording a two-round total of 174. He improved upon his first-round 89 by shaving four strokes off in round two with an 85.

Gabe Raymundo posted rounds of 89 and 86, finishing with an overall score of 175.

Jonah Carden tallied a total score of 190, improving from a 100 in round one to a 90 in round two.
