Union men’s golf recap from the Golden Tiger Collegiate
Gainesville, Ga. - The Union Commonwealth University men's golf team recently took on the Golden Tiger Collegiate at Chattahoochee Golf Course. They secured an eighth-place finish.
The Bulldogs posted a total team score of 710 across 18 holes, finishing 64 over par. They opened with a first-round score of 358 before improving slightly in round two with a 352.
Leading the way for UCU was Gabe Raymundo, who placed 12th in a field of 42 competitors. Raymundo carded an 80 in the first round and followed up with a 78 in the second, finishing with a total score of 158. He went 8 over par in round one and 6 over in round two.
Luke Townhill turned in rounds of 85 and 82 for an overall score of 167, going 13 over par in the first round and 10 over in the second.
Kaleb Ellis recorded scores of 90 and 88 in his two rounds, finishing with a total of 178, while Jonah Carden posted a 102 in round one and a 104 in round two for a final score of 207.
