Union MBB receives several All-AAC honors; Curry named AAC Coach of the Year

Barbourville, Ky. – The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) has released its 2023-24 AAC Men's Basketball All-Conference Team and Awards.

Union's Deonte Douglas, Terrin Hamilton, and Markelo Sullivan were named All-AAC First Team. The Bulldogs' Markelle Turner was tabbed Second-Team All-AAC.

Douglas is averaging 13.3 PPG, 2.8 RPG, and 3.4 APG this season. Hamilton is averaging 18.1 PPG and 6.9 RPG. Sullivan is averaging 17.1 PPG, 9.1 RPG, and 3.3 APG. Turner is averaging 12.0 PPG, 3.7 RPG, and 2.8 APG.

Sullivan was named AAC Defensive Player of the Year, while also being named to the All-Defensive Team. Douglas and Anton Mozga were also named to the All-Defensive Team.

Union's Tim Curry was named AAC Coach of the Year. In his first season as head coach of the Union men's basketball program, the Bulldogs have posted a 22-6 (21-3 AAC) record en route to winning the AAC regular season title.

Jay Falls was Union's representative on the Champions of Character Team. Mozga, Sean Reece, and Drew Rhodes were named to the AAC's All-Academic Team.
