Union’s Markelo Sullivan named AAC MBB Player of the Week

Barbourville, Ky. – Union's Markelo Sullivan has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Sullivan averaged 25.0 PPG through two games last week off 20-of-29 shooting from the floor. He also averaged 10.5 RPG and 2.5 SPG. Of his 21 rebounds on the week, 10 of them were offensive rebounds.

He was 3-of-7 from 3-PT range, while going 7-of-10 from the free-throw line. Union won both games on the week, which included an 84-81 OT victory over a Pikeville team that was No. 2 in the AAC Preseason Poll behind No. 1 Union. The Bulldogs also won 83-74 at Johnson.
