Straughter Breaks Three Conference Records, Ties Program Mark

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – Redshirt junior Selatian Straughter broke three Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) records and tied a program record during Union's loss to Faulkner on Saturday.

Straughter set the conference record for most punt returns in a game with four, surpassing the previous mark of three held by multiple players. He also set the record for highest average yards per return at 27.0, breaking the previous record of 8.7 set by Point's Emery Bryant against Faulkner on Nov. 4, 2023. His 79-yard return broke the previous longest punt return record of 74 yards, held by Reinhardt's Gage Stephens against Faulkner on Aug. 31, 2024.

Additionally, Straughter tied the Union program record with one punt return touchdown in a game; multiple are now tied with this record.
