Ahlyus Durrett’s favorite thing about Union is the close community—a place where he’s felt welcomed and supported since day one.

His favorite hobby is taking walks, and his dream job is to be a physical trainer, helping athletes reach the D1 level and achieve their goals. In high school, his favorite subject was social studies, and he looks up to Richard Sherman for his leadership on and off the field.

Ahlyus enjoys apple juice, Reese’s Cups on road trips, and soul food as his go-to meal. His favorite social media app is TikTok, and he has a dog named Roxy.

As a teammate, he sees himself as someone who uplifts others and brings positive energy. He wants to be remembered for both his accomplishments and his support for the team.

One person who’s made a positive impact on him at Union is Coach Kibb, and when he’s not on the football field, Ahlyus also enjoys playing basketball.
