Bio
Major: Exercise Science
Trenton Childers is an Exercise Science major who appreciates Union for the opportunity to play sports and meet new people while attending school. He values the unique experience of being a student-athlete and the chance to build a future through both academics and athletics—something he believes not everyone gets to do.
His favorite subject in high school was math, and his dream is to become a physical therapist. He’s fascinated by anatomy, how the body works, and loves the idea of helping others recover so they can get back to doing what they love.
In his free time, Trenton enjoys playing cornhole, especially when the school holds competitions. His favorite drink is Powerade, his go-to road trip snack is Slim Jims, and his favorite social media app is Snapchat. He has one dog at home.
Trenton’s football icon is Cameron Mitchell. As a teammate, he sees himself as a team player who does what he’s told and puts the group first. He wants to be remembered for never giving up and for being a good person and a supportive teammate. His second-best sport is track and field, where he throws shot put and discus.
A fun fact about Trenton is that he had four thumbs as a baby—something that definitely sets him apart.
He credits Coach Day with having a positive impact on his journey and is proud to have many friends who’ve graduated from Union before him.
