Cordell Abernathy values the culture at Union Commonwealth University, recognizing how important it is in college life. He considers himself a nice and reliable teammate and wants to be remembered for his pride and grit. He highlights his football coaches as role models who have made a positive impact on his life and looks up to his uncle as a sports icon.

Outside of football, Cordell enjoys fishing and considers wrestling his second best sport. In high school, English was his favorite subject. His dream is to become a real estate agent because he sees it as a lucrative career.

Cordell’s favorite drink is lemonade, and on road trips, he enjoys hot fries. Burgers are his favorite meal.
