Union RB Taji Jackson named AAC Offensive Player of the Week

Barbourville, Ky. – Union Commonwealth University running back Taji Jackson has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Offensive Player of the Week.

Jackson tallied 19 carries for 134 rushing yards and one touchdown in UCU's 21-3 victory at Thomas. He also recorded one catch for seven yards. The Nicholasville, Ky., native registered a double-digit gain on seven carries.

With 2:07 remaining in the fourth quarter, Jackson put the game away with a 23-yard TD run to give the Bulldogs a three-score lead.

The Battle for the Brass Lantern is up next for Union. The Bulldogs will travel to Williamsburg, Ky., to face the Cumberlands Patriots on Saturday, Sept. 28, at 7:00 p.m.
