Football Announces Schedule for Spring 2021
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Mid-South Conference officials released the 2020-21 Appalachian Division football schedule today.
Each of the seven teams in the Appalachian Division is scheduled to play a minimum of eight games beginning on Feb. 6, 2021, with the final game of the regular season slated for April 10, 2021. All games will be against Appalachian Division foes with some games played as non-divisional games.
The Appalachian Division administrative council voted to postpone the 2020 fall season on Aug. 11 due to concerns surrounding COVID-19.
NAIA officials announced on July 31 that the NAIA Football Championship Series would be moved to spring 2021. On Aug. 20, NAIA officials announced that the FCS championship game is slated for Monday, May 10, 2021, at Eddie G. Robinson Stadium in Grambling, Louisiana. The FCS begins on April 17 with the first round of the 16-team playoff.
The Bulldogs' revised schedule for 2021 is as follows (all times are to be determined):
- Feb. 6 – at Bluefield
- Feb. 13 – vs. Kentucky Christian
- Feb. 27 – vs. Faulkner*
- March 6 – vs. Reinhardt*
- March 13 – at Point*
- March 27 – at St. Andrews*
- April 3 – vs. Bluefield*
- April 10 – at Kentucky Christian*
* - MSC Appalachian Division game.
At this time, a decision has not been made about the ability to host spectators at games for the upcoming season. Further details will be announced when decisions have been made.
